Private Pilot
 

To earn your Private Pilot's License, the FAA requires a MINIMUM of 40 hours of flight time. However, the national average is 78 hours of flight time. That's why here at Nassau Flyers there are no preset packages that rush you through. You can custom tailor your flight training to fit your own schedule. There is no need to deposit a large sum of money to get started. It's all pay as you go!

During the course of your flight training you will learn skills about navigation, aircraft performance, aviation rules, regulations, radio communications, aviation weather, aviation safety and lots of other skills that will make you a safe, competent pilot. At the completion of your training you will have the ability and the confidence to fly the airplane on your own.
 
 

 

 

Instrument Rating
 

The instrument rating is an addition to your private pilot's license. It allows you to fly the airplane solely by reference to the flight instruments in the cockpit. The FAA requires a minimum of 40 hours of instrument experience in addition to other flight experience. During the course of your instrument training you will learn additional askills such as advanced instrument navigation, radio communications and advanced aviation weather. Much of the training for the instrument rating is accomplished in flight simulators (flight training devices).
 
 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Commercial Rating
 

The commercial pilot's certificate allows you to fly for compensation or hire. The FAA requires no specific amount of instruction, however you must have a minimum of 250 hours of total flight time. While training for your commercial pilot's license you will learn maximum performance maneuvers, mastery of a complex airplane, commercial pilot rules & regulations and how to fly the aircraft to precise standards.
